Overview

The X3R32 is a compact and high-performance 32-channel recording headstage designed for precise neural signal acquisition. Built on one RHD2132 amplifier, it delivers a single 32-channel data stream, ensuring high-fidelity recording and seamless integration with compatible acquisition software.

Armor

Optional protective covers are available for each headstage, offering extra protection and anchoring. These covers, crafted from Polyoxymethylene (POM), are lightweight and resistant to chemicals. There are three standard armor types, with options for customization in shape and material to suit diverse experimental requirements. It's important to note that the size, weight, and shape of these armors will differ across various X-Headstage™ models.

    S Armor

    The S armors with ear loops around the side used to anchor headstage to the accessories such as electrode adapters.

    M Armor

    The M armors are designed to provide protection while maintaining minimal size.

    IP Armor

    The IP armors are designed to provide the most protection and fully encase the X-Headstage. The X-Headstage™ with the optional parylene coating has been tested to the IP68 standard.




Compatible Acquisition System

The X-Headstage™ delivers optimal performance when paired with the XDAQ™ system. It is also adaptable for use with a range of open-source hardwares and proprietary systems, though signal remap adapters may sometimes be necessary. Below is a list of known compatible systems, and it's important to note that other unlisted solutions may also be capable of driving the X-Headstage:

  • Intan Stim-Record Controller
  • Open-Ephys acquisition box
  • NeuroNexus Smartbox




Motion Trackingp

Each XR headstages is by default configured with an analog 3-axis gyroscope that will be sampled at the same rate as the headstage inputs and the data will be available in the AUX1, AUX2, AUX3 signal in the data package. It is NOT possible to purchase XR headstages without the gyroscope.
XSR Headstages does not support 3-axis gyroscope.
